Wedding Cake Feature in American Miniaturist

It's such hot and gorgeous weather here in England - even hotter than LA at the moment. My mum's out sunbathing and we're planning on a BBQ tonight. Fun when we can do these sorts of things in the UK. In LA a BBQ was just a regular meal!

Anyway, I hope everyone's enjoying the weather wherever you are.... guess it's winter in some parts of the world. This post is to show you an article I was in recently. It's American Miniaturist's June 2012 issue which came out at the start of this month, and it's all about weddings. Kind of fun for me since I am planning my own wedding these days! Hope you enjoy, and if you get your hands on the whole magazine then check out the awesome wedding cakes others artisans have made and the incredible bridal dresses....

This page shows a black and white wedding cake made by another artisan, not me, but the page includes some blurb with my name on it, so I thought I'd share it!

Easter FEATURE in American Miniaturist

I was thrilled to be featured along with some really talented artisans in the Easter edition of American Miniaturist Magazine this season (2012)! They used photos from my seasonal range of last year. Scroll down and have a look.

They also used a blueberry cheesecake and tiramisu I made and photographed back in 2010.
All thanks to Martha!

P.S. Wish they hadn't spelled my name incorrectly, especially as they made no mention of my company name either...  ;)

Featured in Miniaturas Magazine

Its was ages ago.... last Christmas actually (but the magazine came out in November of course) 2011, a few of my photos were featured in the Spanish magazine - 'Miniaturas'. Just received my copy in the post and chuffed to be able to share it here on my blog!

Here's some of my work featured - my Christmas table laid out with red table cloth, food, turkey etc and on the other page you can see my gingerbread house and Christmas candy. A magical Christmas scene from my other blog is also shown on the page below (top left).

A Taste for Jewelry

... there's nothing wrong with having an appetite for jewelry, now is there? Especially when it's tiny, bite sized and handmade from calorie-free polymer clay.

Just listed some more of my mini food jewelry including new cake slice items - find it at my online store here.

Hop over to my other store also for some pretty unique magical jewelry, and more still to come!

Stock for SALE!

In case you didn't catch it... I blogged yesterday (here) to let people know that it's just been finalised - I am moving to New Zealand for the next 5-6 months and I leave here in about 1 month. So I'm putting tonnes on sale to lessen the load of my carry-on (it's a 28 hour flight after all!)

Just because I'm feeling crazy, and super keen to clear out old stock, I am listing these lovely little trios of eclairs (in chcolate, toffee and white icing) on gold patisserie trays for only $1.50 each. It's a silly price really. :)

Available here while they last.

Moving house... BLOW OUT SALE!!!

It's confirmed... my fiancee just got a job at WETA in New Zealand and I'm moving over there to be with him for 5 months whilst I await my fiancee visa which will finally allow me back into the States.

Now I hate packing as much as the next person, and I especially hate packing up miniatures as each one has to be packed so carefully, it takes ages, and I always have to have them on my lap on the plane as carry-on. Not looking forward to a massive fragile carry-on bag on my lap for my 28 hour flight with 2 stop overs.... no way.

So... what does this all mean? It means I am trying to clear my stock so I have less to carry! I have lowered prices massively on lots of items (find greatest reductions in my 'Sale Section' of my online shop).

Not only that - the first 5 PEOPLE to purchase something from my sale section get a further 20% off.
Just enter the coupon code 'BLOWOUT' after you click to buy but before you pay. A further whopping 20%  will be deducted from your final bill, but not from shipping fees.
Please note that the coupon code is ONLY for the first 5 people to buy from my sale section and then I will end the coupon code. It is also ONLY available for items in the sale section (here) and not on any other items in store.

Coupon code has been activated now... Ready.... Steady.... GO!
